I can’t shower, I can’t get up to go to the bathroom until the very last second, I cannot make dinner, I cannot do household chores, I cannot talk to anyone. The only real relief is sleep because I feel nothing. I spend my day in bed trying to sleep and ignore everything and everyone. It’s no way to live or treat your family. So I go to the doctor or email my therapist and ask for his advice and change my meds. It probably ends up being a little er a while of doing it. Once we find ourselves there and the realizations of everything, it feels so glim and that’s difficult to deal with.

Depression can make you feel extremely lethargic. That makes it difficult to even get out of bed, much less function. I’ve written about his plot. I said I could go to bed at 9: p.m. (which I did often just to escape the day and my world) and even though I’d slept 10 hours, I’d feel wiped/exhausted. Don’t allow depression to walk on you and keep you downtrodden. You’re stronger than that. Reach out. Find help. Find answers to get back control of your life. The answers are out there. It just depends on you and what it’ll take to get you started. IF I can do it, you can TOO.
